10 Month Kid, Fever, Sore On Lip With White Pus, Spreading. Diagnosed As Strep Throat. Opinion?

Hello. My 10 month old daughter had a fever of 104, so I took her to the ER. Friday she developed a sore on her lip with white pus. When I came from work Saturday morning she had a total of four white pus filled sores. The ER doctor told me she had strep throat, but she didn't swab her for it. Now the sores are spreading and the sores are getting bigger. What do you think is really going on with her?

The description provided by you suggests some bacterial infection as there is pus and high fever. What antibiotic has been prescribed, if any? In case no antibiotic has been provided then the best course would be to revisit the doctor and get some antibiotic prescribed.
