1 yr old touched the tip of cigarette, chances of swallowing. What should I do ?

My 1 year old granddaughter managed to pull my purse off the table and my cigarettes fell out. She put just the tip of one in her mouth before I could grab them. Besides being very upset with me for holding her down and cleaning out her mouth she seems fine but I am afraid she may have swallowed a few sprigs. What else should I do?

You should just watch her. Cigarette buds swallowed will come out as it is. It will not cause a lot of nicotine absorption. So you should not worry. Give her a lot of fibre rich diet. It will decrease absorption of anything in the intestine and hasten its expulsion via stools. (e.g thick fruit shakes, bananas, papaya etc). Also give her lots of fluids
Hope that helps
God bless you
