1 Year Old Child, Fever, Viral Fever Suspected. Crocin Suspension, Maxtra Syrup Ineffective. Suggestions?

Hi, I have a baby boy of 1 yr old
He is having fever for more then 7-8 days. One of the Pediatric advised to give Crocin Suspension , along with Myxtra syrup as it seems to be a viral fever and will be cured but no progress seems to happen. Other General physician advised its an initial stage of typhoid, hence he advised for Azithral 100 mg and Enteogermina and Cefoclav 50.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

As the child is having fever of 7-8 days duration, child requires re examination by his pediatrician.

Investigations are required like CBP, ESR, malarial parasite, widal test, and complete urine examination to rule out any focus of infection which may require specific antibiotic therapy.

Therefore I advise you to consult the pediatrician for re examination and investigations depending on examination findings.

Hope I have answered your query.

Regards.
