1 Year Child. Stool Test Showed Fat Globules, Under Diagnosis For Palpable Liver. Ultrasound Suggested. Advise?
i brouight my grandson to a pediatric. his stool test resulted to fat globules. according to the pediatrician my grandson will be under observation for 1 week . her diagnosis is palpable liver.after 1 weel if the liver is still palpable my grandson will undergo ultrasound.there is no medicine prescribed. do you think i will still wait for one week or will have my grandson undergo an ultrasound or ct scan of the abdomen.my grandson 1 yr and eigth months. thank you so much and i hope you can enlighten me. he is my first grandson.

you didn't write the age of your grandson and in toddlers just palpable liver is not a concern if the consistency looks soft; if he is growing normally with adequate weight gain, mere presence of fat globules in stools is not significant.
