Brief Answer:
Borderline blood sugar level can be controlled with exercise and diet

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome to Ask A Doctor service.

Borderline blood sugar level can be controlled well with regular exercise and good control over the diet.

Follow these general guidelines and check your sugars regularly like once a week for 3 to 4 weeks and then check every month.

1. Avoid eating rice
2. Stop sugar and sweets completely
3. Go for brisk walking for 45 minutes daily
4. Do intermittent fasting, in a week, you can skip two to three meals at random
5. Eat smaller meals
6. Do not drink beverages like coke and pepsi etc

With these simple steps you will be able to reduce the blood sugar levels.

And please consult your doctor regularly and if the blood sugars are not coming down, then you must start a medicine like metformin under the guidance of your treating doctor.

I hope that answers your query.

Best regards
