Hello and thank you for sending the question.

I understand you had a concern regarding folliculitis causing a scar. I reviewed the photo uploaded and I am not impressed that this represents scar tissue. What I see is a pigmented skin lesion with irregular borders.

In light of your regular appearance of the skin lesion, I would recommend that you have this evaluated by your primary care physician or dermatologist. It is possible that you might need a biopsy to determine with certainty exactly what this particular skin change represents.
