Brief Answer:
Better is to start medication

Detailed Answer:
Hi Madam, I have gone through your query and understood your concerns.

The HbA1c value of 7.7, indicate, you have to start medication for diabetes.

Continue the other changes in diet and exercise.

If the sugar levels come under control, you can revise the dosage after consulting a doctor.

Right now Metformin 500mg twice daily would be a good choice.

Keep checking sugar levels every week for a month, if sugar levels are controlled, you can continue same. Or a dosage alteration may be required which depends on sugar levels.

As of now you can start Metformin 500mg one tablet twice daily after consulting your local doctor.

Thank you Mam.
Wishing you good health
