Question: hi. sometimes after i have stessful times i will go through weird mornings the next few days or weeks where i get very very hungry feelings (almost nauseous) and kind of woozy or dizzy like 20 minutes or so after waking up.. also get anxious... the feeling passes but leaves me anxious and tired abd still hungry.

im prone to panic attacks... does this sound like im just getting too much cortisol in the mornings or does it sound like low blood sugar?

Brief Answer:
I think this is anxiety

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

From the available description it is clear that there is anxiety which bothers you. The temporal association between stress and weird feelings clearly favours possibility of anxiety rather than anything.

Although it can also be stated that cortisol will be high as both high cortisol and anxiety are directly related and one brings out other and vise versa.

If I analyse the symptoms I can clearly state that nausea, dizziness, tiredness are all symptoms of anxiety especially the anxiety which fails to manifest fully.

I must assure you that it can not be low blood sugar as any of these symptoms rarely experienced when there is low blood sugar. In addition the low blood sugar can not last for days.

In my opinion managing the stress is key to manage these symptoms.

I hope this helps you.
Feel free to write back to me if you have more questions.
Thanks and regards.

i dont think your answer finished... why cant it be low blood sugar?

its just weirs because these sympyoms hit me suddenly.. sometimes when im perfectly calm and relaxing ill suddwnly get woozy and nauseous. when im not even hungry.

and also sometimes a surge of energy will wake me up early in the morning and make me feel sick too.

you think thats all stress responses? not low blood sugar?

Brief Answer:
Follow up

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for follow up and posting really important question.

For your information I am posting some statements, please go through them and let me know if you have more questions
1. High stress brings out high cortisol
2. High cortisol brings out hyperglycemia and not hypoglycemia
3. Low blood sugar unlikely to respond anything except sugar'
4. Low blood sugar can not last for weeks without causing permanent damage to you.
5. The timing (early morning) favours possibility of high cortisol
6. Surge of energy again never occurs at the time of hypoglycemia

I hope this clarifies.
Thanks and regards.
