Brief Answer:
Please specify your child's age.

Detailed Answer:

Hello XXXXXXX,

Andial contains loperamide, which is an anti-diarrheal.

It is not advisable to take this medicine in general for diarrhea that is of bacterial in nature.

However, if you do not have any fever along with diarrhea, you can probably take it without affecting your child, available data does not indicate that it is harmful to your baby.

However, that said, I would advise you to be cautious if your child is less than 6 months old.

Please specify the age of your child and I will tell you if you can take it safely.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Best wishes.

Brief Answer:
Please consult your doctor for the treatment of diarrhea.

Detailed Answer:

Hello again XXXXXXX,

Thank you for writing back with details.

It is not an ideal medicine for diarrhea, it reduces the motility of the intestines, so it is not advisable to take.

You should consult your local doctor and get yourself examined to see what kind of diarrhea you have.

If it is bacterial then you will need a course of antibiotics.

Please drink plenty of water (with ORS).

I would advise you to refrain from taking andial since your baby is just 10 days old.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Warm regards.

Brief Answer:
Daily baths, keep the area dry. Nothing else needs to be done.

Detailed Answer:

Hello again,

You don't need to do anything specific for this, just bathe your baby as usual daily, wipe the skin with a dry towel and keep the skin dry, that is all.

You don't have to do anything specific.

Hope I have answered your query.

Best wishes.
