Question: hello doctor, I'm a 32 year old male, my concern is I have dizziness and headache since many days and I'm going through a lot of stress these days. so I thought of getting my BP checked through a home monitor machine and it showed 144 / 94. My headache doesn't go even after taking pain killer and I have a very disturbed sleep. I feel blank sometimes due to dizziness. please suggest as I'm really worried.

Brief Answer:
Features are suggestive of tension-type headache.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your clinical details. These are suggestive of tension-type headache. You would benefit from medications such as dosulepin or amitriptyline.

In addition, your BP is high and you need to start BP lowering drugs.

If symptoms do not subside with above treatment, a brain scan may be needed.
