Well, there can be several reasons behind such pain, please provide the following details:

Your age, please...

-How bad is the pain (on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the worst)? Any heaviness over the chest, any excessive sweating?

-How is the pain? Is it constant or coming and going?

-Could you specify where/which part of the chest do you feel the pain?

-Is the pain remaining constant in one area or spreading to somewhere else as well?

-Is there any pain during breathing? Or any pain during any specific activities e.g. climbing stairs, walking faster/during daily household chores?

-Any recent history of cough/cold/flu? Any history of smoking/drinking, any cardiac history in the family?

**Important to note: Since you have already being examined and investigated by your doctor, it's imperative that you follow his advice and proceed for further evaluation...
