Brief Answer:
Urinary tract infection..

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

The burning sensation indicate urinary tract infection. I would suggest to get urine examination done - routine as well as culture. It will allow us identify the source of infection and the appropriate medication. Until then drink plenty of fluids. Cranberries will help you too.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.

Brief Answer:
May or may not be related...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I did not see history of unprotected sexual encounter in your post earlier. If there was no unprotected sexual encounter, then we can safely exclude STDs. However if you were involved in unprotected encounter, then STD are to be considered in the differential diagnosis.

Urine examination and if necessary a swab from the uretheral opening will help us identify the kind of infection and the appropriate treatment. Discuss with your treating doctor.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need any further clarifications.
