What Should I Do About Persistent UTI During Pregnancy Despite Taking Medication?

Question: Hello! I am now 7 finished weeks pregnant and I have a bad UTI since the beginning.
First when I didn't know I was pregnant but suspected I could be (during week 3rd of pregnancy), I took augmentin because the UTI was acute and I was in a lot of pain. I took it for 7 days and I got a yeast infection so I treated it with pimafusin (natamycin) vaginally and cream on the outside for another 7 days. Meanwhile UTI started to come back though not so acute, I just felt discomfort all day long.
I told my doctor and during week 5 of my pregnancy I got Monurol 1 dose 3g. That unfortunately did not even take away the discomfort for a while. I felt exactly as I did before.
Then I tested my urine for the bacteria that is causing it. Turned out to be Klebsiella pneumoniae 10^5. It was suspectible to augmentin, zinnat and others. As I already took augmentin for 7 days before and It didnt stop it completely the doctor told me to take zinnat for 10 days and first dose to be double 1000 mg. After the first dose I felt bad, I threw up and I had a semi-diarrhea. Now I am on day 10 of zinnat and I still feel discomfort and felt it all throughout the 10 days even though the results showed its suspectible to it. Also during the 10 days of zinnat I took Nystatin vaginally every second day 3 pills to prevent another yeast infection.
I am paranoid I have taken so many medicines and STILL this UTI is not over I can feel it. Of course I am going to see my doctor again and probably will be on another antibiotic. I feel like crying. Is my baby developing good after all this? Its the early first trimester and I am bombing myself with medicine that doesnt even work. What should I do? Is my baby fine? Especially that I took a double dose of Zinnat after which I felt awful and all the other medicine?
All the antibiotics that my bacteria was suspectible to and I researched the FDA category B was: augmentin, piperacylin/tazobaktam, cefalexin, cefuroxym (zinnat), ceftazidime, cefepim, meropenem

Brief Answer:
You should go for I.V. antibiotics.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

As you are having klebsiella infection in urine, it is very resistant infection and can not go easily from your urine.
So in my opinion it is better to get admitted and took antibiotics intravenously which are safe during pregnancy.
Though it is true much medicines are not used during first trimester of pregnancy but in your case it is very important to treat infection.
For fetal well being get your second level ultrasound (detail ultrasound of your baby).
Drink a lot of warm water.
Avoid spicy food
Take multivitamin.

Hope found useful, feel free to ask more information.
Good luck.

Hello, thank you for your reply. I will have another urine test made and the doctor will probably give me another antibiotic, maybe intravenously as you said.
However I am so concerned about my baby. Do you think everything can be fine with my baby after augmentin, natamycin, monurol, zinnat, nystatin and possibly another antibiotic? All in first trimester.

Brief Answer:
Everything will be fine.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
I know your concern about your baby and it is true as well ,so many medicines during first trimester is not advisable as they are harmful for your baby.
But in your case as you are suffering with UTI ,it is important to treat the infection because infection can also harmful for your baby.
So do not worry much about it.
Your baby will be fine.
Good luck.

So what IV antibiotic would you recommand for me at this stage of pregnancy to finally fight off klebsiella pneumoniae in my urine?
