Question: For 2 days I have been having off and on twinging cramping pain in my right side that starts after I begin eating. Today the pain starts, I belch and the pain stops. I don’t have a fever or pain anywhere else. I am 59 yr old female with my gallbladder and appendix. Week before last I had severe pain that began in my upper stomach from 1-5:30 a.m. the pain moved lower through my abdomen until I had diaherrea at 5:30 a.m. and the pain stopped.

The pain is intermittent and can go for a while without hurting. It temporarily resolved when I belch. The pain is on the right side, not the front, more in my side midway. Not really upper or lower
