default
Posted on Mon, 7 Dec 2015
Question: hi, i have a new job in corrections and will need to do a urine tox screen for morphine amongst other meds. I take oxycodone for pain (period ), prn. will that show up as the test is for morphine.
i last took 10mg slow r 5 days ago, how long to clear my system.
I also took 50mg tramadol a week ago, will that show up too.
and for sleep i took 50mg quetiapine and 7.5mg zopiclone 6 days ago..how long for them to clear..
and in the context of having lost my job i was given 5mg diazapam and used them prn 3/52 ago up to 10mg daily.
all meds are scripted and under the supervision of my g.p. I just want to know if my urine tox will show up clear or not. I will be declaring these meds. many thanks

Detailed Answer:
Hi there, and thanks for your question.

Below, I list the maximum time each drug is typically detected by these tests. These numbers refer to days after last use.

Oxycodone: 2 days
Tramadol: 2 days
Diazepam: 3 days, though this can be longer for daily use

Urine screens test for the category of opiates, rather than for morphine or oxycodone or tramadol; all three will show up as opiates.

Quetiapine and zopiclone are not detectable in drug tests.

If all your medications are declared and prescribed by a doctor, there should be no problem.
