Question: Why is my stomach very bloated after the flu. Have been throwing up once a day for the past 10 days

You seem to have severe gastritis which is rejecting the food intake at the moment.

You need to rest the stomach and duodenum for few more days. In such a case, you need to have liquid to semisolid diet that is easily digestible, small in quantity and non spicy.

You need to process the food before you take it. I mean mashing, grinding. Clear soups, yogurt and cereals help.

You should take Tab Prilosec OTC early in the morning one hour before your first meal of the day. Avoid caffeinated beverages and colas. You can also take anti-emetic medicine half an hour before your meal. Simethicone helps treat a bloated stomach, have it after meals.
