Question: As shown in the pictures I have attached, my jaw deviates more to one side. It seems as though one side is shorter and lower? How can I correct this imbalance?

I have uploded the pictures once again. I actually do suffer from TMD, and have been dealing with it for about five years now. It%E2%80%99s not painful, but my jaw does get caught a few times a day and I just have to click it back into place. I also had braces for four years, but my bite refused to align with the top teeth so I just took them off because I figured it was a jaw problem. I also feel like it%E2%80%99s become more uneven as time has gone by. Is there any way to correct this?

Brief Answer:
Seems like hypermobility of TMJ, go for investigation.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

As far as TMD with dislocation of joint is concerned i like to tell you that treatment has two approaches -Conservative treatment, investigation & Surgical approach.
When conservative treatment fails or when it doesn't give you relief then you can consult oral surgeon for investigation and surgical correction.

Conservative measures include jaw rest, soft diet, moist warm compresses, and medication.
Medication includes analgesic, muscle relaxant, local application of ointment.

In investigation Magnetic resonance or ultrasonography is done for patients with persistent symptoms, those in whom conservative therapy has been ineffective, or in those with suspected internal joint derangement.

surgical treatments have shown benefit in alleviating TMD symptoms and increasing joint mobility.

As far as i have concluded it seems like you have hypermobility of TMJ joint. For this i will suggest you to consult oral surgeon and go for investigation MRI or Tmj view to confirm diagnosis and go for surgical treatment if needed.

Hope this will help you.
If you have further query i will be happy to help.
