Brief Answer:
Use clotrimazole

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query.
Sometimes a superficial fungal infection can cause such smell.
I treat such cases with a topical antifungal powder like Clotrimazole.

It is usually available over the counter.
It gives good response within a week.
You can apply it twice daily for a week.

Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you.
