Brief Answer:
Thick sticky and excess mucus in the mouth

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Thick stringy and excess mucus in because of upper respiratory viral infection. Your body is trying to defend it by forming excess mucus. GERD increases the recurrence. Are you taking any medicine for GERD? Post nasal drip also causes the problem more often. Dehydration increases the thickness and stickiness. At the same time if you blow nose the blood clots are seen.

So increase water intake everyday. Put humidifier in the house to moisten the air. Eat soft and moist food. Sip on warm lemon tea frequently without milk. Do not expose to dust and other allergens. Take MUCINEX syrup three times a day.
