Brief Answer:
Reflex esophagitis.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns that you are having discomfort in throat. I would like to ask you few more details.

Is there any difficulty in swallowing or burning sensation in chest ?
Is your throat discomfort associated with nasal obstruction ?

Kindly get back to me with the details.

Based on your clinical details, it appears to be reflex esophagitis secondary to acid reflux.

I suggest you to to consult ent surgeon and get detailed ent examination ( pharyngitis, sinusitis), if necessary laryngoscopy ( deeper part of pharynx, abnormalities of voice box). depending on the examination reports further treatment is required accordingly.

Mean time, do salt water gargling, avoid spicy diet, take ppi inhibitor with pro kinetics like pan- d ( pantaprazole + domperidone) twice daily before foods.

Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.

Brief Answer:
globus pharyngus-needs laryngoscopy.

Detailed Answer:

Hello again,

Thanks for considering my answer and for your follow up.

Foreign body sensation in throat, could be from external compression (thyroid) or internal (globus pharyngus, abnormal growths).

In my opinion, you need to evaluate with laryngoscopy, if necessary ultrasound neck.

Hope, I have answered your query.

Take care.
