Thanks for posting your query. I would like to have some information.
- What is the nature of your pain ? ( dull aching, burning, throbbing ,colicky or constricting)
- Does your pain radiate to any other part of your body?
- Is there any aggravating or relieving factor?
- Is it associated with movement, respiration or food intake.
- What is the relation of your pain with defecation or urination?
- Have you noticed blood in your urine?
- I would also like to know about your menstrual periods.

the pain is sharpe. not related to food intake. just before i fam finished urinating the pain is sharp. i don't have a menstrual cycle anymore. the pain started yesterday but is not as bad today but is still there on the left side. i am still sexually active.

Hi,
Thanks for posting the details.

You may have urinary stone or doctor.
Following investigations will be helpful
-Urine for routine and microscopic examination then culture sensitivity
-Renal function test
-Diagnostic ultrasound in conjunction with abdominal X-ray
- Intravenous urogram

Depending on finding of clinical examination, your doctor will advise the appropriate set of investigation. Your doctor will be able to guide you.
