Brief Answer: After the date of your missed menses! Detailed Answer: Hi and thank you so much for this query. I wil recommend that you start with a home pregnancy test kit. This would provide rapid results and generally provides reliable results especially after the date of your expected menses. You must not get a midwife as this is very simple and a home test. There is no best way to hide a pregnancy, No matter what you do, it will finally be evident to the whole world that you are pregnant. Feeling comfortable and being proud of your pregnancy is a great way to go. Tell friends about your pregnancy and what the plans are. Hope am not missing out on something here? Brief Answer: If you don't know how, let them discover it Detailed Answer: Hi and thank you so much for this follow up precision. It can be difficult to tell your family about this, Because you are decided to keep this pregnancy, do nothing about it and they would discover it all by themselves. If you cannot bring it up, the pregnancy would announce itself and open the doors for discussions on this. Do nothing to hide but let nature announce this. Please, if you do not wish to get pregnant in future, talk to your physician for advice on various contraceptive measures. I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services. Answered by Dr. Ivo Ditah (7 minutes later)
Brief Answer: You would need to be consulted Detailed Answer: Hi and thanks for already considering this option after this pregnancy. It will permit you to have greater control on your sexual and reproductive life. There are several birth control measures on the market. We don't choose for our clients but allow them to make the decision with expertise advice from us. When a client comes, we present all the applicable methods of contraception to her with the various advantages and disadvantages and allow her to choose. So, what method would greatly depend on your preference and not what I really think or want. I wish you a safe pregnancy and delivery. Let me know if there is something more you would want me to do for you at this time. Talk to your doctor about this immediately after birth for guidance and treatment options. Thanks. Dr. Ivo, MD.

I'm 16 , can you help me find a midwife or doctor?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Ivo Ditah (41 minutes later)
Brief Answer: Go to the nearest hospital of your choice! Detailed Answer: Hi and thanks for this follow up question. Pleas, go to the nearest hospital of your choice and tell them you are pregnant. You would be oriented to the OBGYN units that would follow you throughout the pregnancy and delivery. It would not be a difficult task. As a mother of 1, you are already considered as an emancipated minor and fit to make decisions for yourself. The consent of your parents is not needed to validate any procedure or medical act. I hope you do this soon and get your pregnancy being followed up correctly to prevent and address any concerns that may arise. Thanks. Dr. Ivo, MD.

I'm very scared.

Answered by Dr. Ivo Ditah (25 minutes later)
Brief Answer: You should not be! Detailed Answer: Hi and thanks for being so open to let me know you are scared. Hospitals are the safest places to go to. No one would judge you for any reasons and they would provide a shoulder for you to lean on in difficult times. Your doctors would never do any such thing to scare you from coming to the hospital. Remember they are actually there for you and would in no way want to send you away lest they are no longer interested in doing their job which is not an option for any dedicated medical staff. Feel free and walk in there knowing you are the king and everything would just settle. No need to get so scared. Thanks. Dr. Ivo, MD.
