When Is The Best Time To Get Pregnant?

Question: hi im married and trying for a baby. im working abroad will stay 3 months at home only. so my wife consulted a doctor for treatment. we r 8 months married now. doctor gave her vitamin tablets. last month she asked to come for a check up during 10th day of her cycle. and my wife went. then doctor scanned her and said dat one egg is 17 mm in size and others r small in size. so she asked to come 2 days after. then she said her egg burst already.. so may b there is a chance for getting pregnant.. but it was a failure.. so this month she asked her to take ova sheild tablet.. 2 days before my wife went to check up and she scanned and said d same. egg is in 17 mm and others r small. so today she went again. and doctor after scaning said the egg bursted and ovulation has taken place. today is her 13th day of cycle.. doctor has said there is chance of pregnancy.. so my question is wat to do to improve chances?? is there any chance of getting pregnant dis month itself? by having sex on these coming days.. my sperm count is normal with 65 millions and motility and morphology with 60 %. i took sperm analysis a year before.. will do it again next month.. i have been having itching in penis so i taught i am affected with some sti.. but after consulting many specialists and taking many tests they confirmed nothing wrong with me.. one of them said it may b fordyce spots.. but my wife didnt get any of those .. so im also thinking may b she is having some problem bcoz of me.. need ur advice.. thank u

Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and understand your concern.
After reading your query I feel that there is probably no abnormality in either of you and because of less mating pregnancy is not occuring.
Best chances of pregnancy occur when sperms and eggs meet and this happens around your ovulation days called as fertile period.
While the life of egg is just 24 hours,the life of sperm is 6-7 days.
It means you don't have to do sex only on ovulation day to get pregnant but you have a fertile window or period of 6 days.
It means 5 days prior to ovulation day and the day of ovulation.If you do sex during fertile window,fresh eggs could meet sperms and fertilisation can take place.
Since you are away for 9 months in a year,practically you get only three fertile windows of your 3 months stay.
Now coming to present situation.
Since egg has been released it will stay for just 24 hours.
Your doctor is right when she says that pregnancy is still possible because a fastest sperm can take 30 minutes to reach Fallopian tubes and fertilise egg.Other sperms can take 48-72 hours to reach egg ( they won't be of use in present situation ) .
Try doing it and pray to the god.
The best medicine for fastest conceiving is to stay relaxed and do sex multiple sex during your next fertile window,if present chance goes waste.
Try doing it naturally and if you still fail in next 6 months,you can then see a fertility specialist.

Thank u very much for d reply. Clear with ur explanation. One more doubt. About sperms coming out after sex. Even tried aid a pillow under. After sex I wait around 5 to 10 minutes and get up. But still sperms come out from my wife's part. Need ur advice abt dat

Hello,
Coming out of sperms is natural ,however you should do two things.
1st....do sex with wife below and you on top
2nd...she should remain lying for 30 minutes instead of just 5-10 minutes ( with back on bed )
