When Id Ultrasound Advisable Post An Hucog 10000 Shot?

Question: Hi Doctor,
My last period was 3rd march and my doctor asked me to have Fertomid-50mg from the second day of my period until 5 days and had asked to get the follicular study from the 10th day
Today is the 17th day and the size of the follicle has gone up to 20mm. Today my doctor has asked me to take HUCOg 10000 ...so when should i get my next ultrasound done...tomorrow morning or in the evening
to know whether it has ruptured or not?
Also when is the good time to have intercourse?

Hello Dear,

Thanks for writing to us. Followings are my comments:

1) Follicle size is enough matured and it can rupture anytime between 36-40 hrs (on an average) after taking trigger injection (HUCOG 10000).

2) If you take the injection today, you should undergo the next ultrasound scan tomorrow evening preferably.

3) You will be prepared for unprotected sexual intercourse (from today till next 3-4 days) after taking trigger injection to increase chance of pregnancy.

Hi ...we had intercourse the day i got my Hocog injection that was day before and could not have intercourse yesterday...is that fine ?
Also will get my ultrasound done today...please suggest the next step ...

1) You should involve in unprotected sexual intercourse regularly to maximize your chance of pregnancy as it is the high time of your fertile period and mature follicle will rupture to release ovum (36 to 40 hrs after taking injection).

2) You should upload or attach the ultrasound scan report to check whether follicle is ruptured or not. Further management can be done after reviewing scan report.
