Question: When I talk, after about 15 minutes I get these symptoms: red eyes, inflamed eyelids, fatigue with yawning, throat pain and tightness, pain in nasopharynx area. Ive seen 15 doctors in Asia and have no answers

Other details:
Blood Allergy tests show I have dust allergy
No food allergies. This has been going on 8 years since I moved to Asia
It intensifies sometimes depending on weather. Like rain
Had thorough inspection of sinuses and throat, and MRI, no problem
Wearing a mask when talking helps

Brief Answer:
It seems to be allergic.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing your query.
After reading your post, it seems that your symptoms are allergic in nature.
I would suggest that you can take an antihistamine like Levocetrizine along with Montelukast. A clinical evaluation by an ENT specialist will help in planning your further medical management.
I hope this is helpful to you. If you have any further query, I will be happy to help.
Regards.

Hello,

Thanks for your reply.

I’d like to know whether taking these drugs would reply temporary relief (until my body adapts to them), or will it really help to solve the underlying issue.
I’ve hear that the body adapts to drugs like Allegra.

I’ve also read recently that to heal allergies, you need to heal your gut. Would you say this applies in my case? I do tend to eat rather healthy in general and am wondering if going a month of a vegetable only diet, for example, would help eradicate my condition.

Thank you again.

Brief Answer:
Medicines will decrease the intensity of symptoms.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your response.
These medicines will decrease the intensity of symptoms and help in increasing the disease free periods.
Allergic symptoms can recur whenever body is exposed to the causative allergens. So, precautions and preventions are important.
Healthy gut means food is digested and absorbed properly resulting in providing important vitamins and minerals to the body, which improves our immune system also. So eat healthy and nutricious food prepared under hygeinic conditions. Add fruits in daily diet plan. Also drink lots of water daily. Wash hands properly before eating any food. These habbits help in enhancing immunity.
I hope this answers your query. If you have any further doubts, please mention.
Thanks.

I do have a few other questions I wish to get answered before I choose to put more money into medicine.

I was at the restaurant last night. When I was talking at the restaurant, I felt the symptoms much heavier. I even began to get a headache. The place was air conditioned. Then when I went outside, I felt much less symptoms. I imagine this had to do with the dryness in the air. If this is in fact an allergy, what could it be an allergy to? An allergy to dryness?
Thank you again

Hi,

Thanks for your answer.
1. 8 to 9 hours.
2. No, but I did have a lot of anxiety back when the sickness started.
3. Always when talking
4. No
"Also get your blood pressure and heart rate monitored during symptoms and during symptom free phase."

I have no way of doing this as I have no health insurance and am thus asking for advice on this website. But I know I have no change in heart rate when I have the problem.

Thank you
