After going through the medical details provided by you I understand your concern and would like to tell you that beta blockers are very good drugs for control of hypertension but as other drugs they also have associated side effects.

Depression and erectile dysfunction are the associated side effects but are more commonly encountered with non selective sub categories of beta blockers.

Now as Bistolic contains nebivolol which is a highly cardioselective beta blocker so depression is not know to be associated with its use till date. No studies or post market trails have yet reported this side effect with its use.
