Brief Answer:
Disprin gargles and Ibuprofen should help

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

What you see in the mirror in the throat are generally tonsils or adenoids. They are swollen commonly and it can be due to various reasons. Infection being the chief reason.
If they are just starting to bulge, I suggest DISPRIN gargles thrice a day. I also suggest IBUPROFEN 200mg to 400mg dose thrice a day.
The glands often obstruct the ear tube which connect throat to middle ear and hence the earache.
Since you still do not complain of fever, bodyache, I do not suggest antibiotic. Gargling and pain killers help.
Hope this answers.
