Brief Answer:
can have effects in some persons

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

The effects may not occur in everyone, so it is possible that you may not have any problems.

Some of the possible problems however are- (1)peptic ulcer disease- this refers to irritation of the stomach lining which can sometimes lead to an ulcer in the stomach

(2)the FDA states that there is an increased risk of heart disease and stroke with NSAIDs. In some the risk is less eg ibuprofen ,since it is short acting, has a reduced risk

(3)kidney disease

These effects do not occur in everyone and you may not have any issues. It may be best to consider ibuprofen over aleve since it is shorter acting and only take the medication as needed.

Can be taken with the tylenol to reduce the ibuprofen or aleve that you need to use.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions

I lost one kidney Years ago due to congenital defect. I have a lot of severe neurological pain and arthritic pain in my knees and shoulders from long-term walking with a walker. Tylenol doesn’t help anymore. Aleeve morning and night enables me to walk. I have a lot of gas. Is that a stomach problem that Aleeve would make worse? Could it harm my one kidney? Have you heard anything about treating pain with stem cells shot into joints?

Brief Answer:
it is possible that you may have problems but not possible to predict

Detailed Answer:
HI

It can worsen the gas that you are experiencing if that is related to GERD. GERD is gastroesophageal reflux disease (known simply as reflux), it is one of the common reasons for gas.
If you use meds like protonix or prevacid or prilosec with the medication, it would protect the stomach.

Chronic use can possibly damage your kidney but the damage would occur over a long period of time, you should check to see the function of this kidney to see if it can take the use of the aleve for a long period eg if you already have decreased function, then , best not to use it.

If you've had recent bloods or check up that included the kidney then you would know about its function

In terms of the stem cell, this is a new form of therapy, the goal is to use your own stem cells to repair damaged areas.
