What Time Can Isabgol Be Taken?

default
Posted on Mon, 6 Nov 2017
Question: Hi Sir,
I have IBS. My doctor's has prescribed me to take Isabghol at nyt.
I just wanna know what is the ryt time to take it at nyt, I mean should it be taken immediately after dinner or should we take it before sleep or should it be taken half an hour after dinner.
Also wat should be it's composition i.e. how much curd and how much Isabghol.
I just eat two chapatti's at nyt so please tell me such composition so that it is just appropriate for moving the dinner and not to add more unnecessary stool. I am saying this becoz my rectum is tight and is very difficult to pass stool. it needs a lot of concentration to relax it before passing stool. so I just don't wanna add more stool till the tym i relaxes it by workout.
Also one more thing my doctor have prescribed me "colospa" tablets two times a day. he didn't mention the tym but I was surfing over internet it was showing that either one hour before meal or two after meal.
so wat is the best tym for it.

Thank you

Hello,
Thanks choosing HealthcareMagic for your query.
Have gone through your details and i appreciate your concerns.
Soak 2 tsf of isabghullu about 15 gram in half cup 50 gram of curd and keep it for 20 minutes.

Have it 30-40 minutes after having your dinner this would help food to pass down easily as it would add bulk to it.

Take colospa 1 hour before your lunch and dinner.

I would be happy to assist you in case you have any other query.

Thanks!

Hi Sir,

Thanks Again.

Sir I have two problems -one is IBS And other is rectum.

I can manage my IBS very well, infact what I asked u previously that some kind of breathing starts the watering of intestines...I have found that was becoz of gas, uneven breathing causes gas stuck and it starts movements of intestines, I am taking gas medicines now. Asking I have stopped taking trigger foods.

But the main issue is rectum.

Hi Sir,

Actually I pressed the send button by mistake before completing my questions.

Please find attached my Colonscopy report and give your valuable suggestions.

I relaxes my rectum during defecation very well but I think there is some obstruction in the clearing of last facet which creates smell. I am not in a mental state but It feels very bad when I think what I became over these two years, when I see myself stinking.

Well One question to you, before going Colonscopy I was given drink to wash out stool, I got more than 12 totally liquid stools, but then also the smell was coming. do you have any idea why it was so.

Thank You

Brief Answer:
Proctitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hey dear,
Thanks for attaching reports and that was what i wanted.
You are having proctitis. Proctitis is an inflammation of the lining of the rectum. The rectum is a muscular tube that's connected to the end of your colon. Stool passes through the rectum on its way out of the body. Proctitis can cause rectal pain and the continuous sensation that you need to have a bowel movement.

Proctitis has many causes, but sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are the most common. Gonorrhea, syphilis, herpes, anal warts, and chlamydia are the most common cause of sexually transmitted proctitis. So please tell your partners sexual history (paid sex etc).
Complete blood profile for sexually transmitted diseases should be done.

I would treat you with
Tab Nucort M (methyl prednisolone) 8 mg thrice a day potent anti inflammatory)
Tab Signoflam(diclo +seratio+pcm) twice daily again an anti inflammatory.

Use Proctolyses PC eneme for a week with these medicines to aid defecation.

These are prescription medications. Your local doctor will know about it.

Tab clindamycin 300 mg once daily(broad spectrum antibiotic to cover infection).

Follow up after a week of therapy.
You can discuss this with your gastro.

You don't need a psychiatrist etc you are having a clinical pathological condition.
Proper treatment should be taken.

Stop all other treatments you should have shared the reports earlier dear.

Regards.

Hi Sir, Thank You very much.
What if I say the truth to you, just 4sake of clearing..
Let me tell u I have squeezed my rectum and used to keep it squeezed most f the times due to some reason. But when I came to realize this that defecation problem is becoz of this I left this habit in XXXXXXX this year.

When In XXXXXXX I put my finger into rectum it was very tight, walls pasted becoz I have squeezed it.......

now it's relaxing I have stopped the habit of inserting finger also.
but let me tell u you when finger get inserted it is very tight and after that it started relaxing I did felt on my finger the layer of rectum looses upwards and it again become tube and then there's no patch left there as written in report.

i think it's just tight, I had the habit f squeezing rectum for past one yr. It is combination of legs, thighs muscle and lower back muscle. becoz we used all this in squeezing this. now I think I have to just relax them. I may b wrong. u r expert. I m laymen
so do u still call this proctitis?
if no will it be treatable by the same method.
Any Suggestions. Thanks

Brief Answer:
Follow up answer.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again dear young friend,
See the photographs on the pic attached by you.
The light orange color is normal mucosa however bright red patches are suggestive of severe inflammation.
When ever there is inflammation in a particular area the blood vessels there dilates and hence the are appears red.
So i am not saying that you have proctitis rather your reports are clearly suggestive of this.

Proctitis is an inflammation of the lining of the rectum. This inflammation could be due to your poking of rectal canal by your fingers. So your narration is also suggestive of proctitis.Mucosa of anal and rectal canal is soft and inserting finger it can cause severe inflammation.

Start taking the tablets as suggested and follow up after 5 days.
