What Should Be Done After Accidental Application Of Vicks Vaporub In Child?

Question: I was rubbing Vicks vapo rub and she got some in her eye. I tried my best to wash it out while she screamed loudly. Will she be alright?

Wash with water Visit ER if irritation or pain

Any chemical like vicks on the eyes can be harmful.
As you have done try washing her eyes few times

If pain or irritation persists visit ER soon
Usually nothing will happen except for mild conjunctivitis.
But it is better to show to your doctor once to assess the damage.
