What Prevention Should Be Taken Against Flu Transmission In An Infant?

default
Posted on Mon, 2 Mar 2015
Question: My husband is sick with flu like symptoms...I am NOT sick and have no symptoms. My question is should I avoid our newborn grandchild? She is only a week old. I have been helping out but came back home to get supplies and my husband was ill. So I am unsure whether to go back and help out?

First of all thanks for choosing Healthcaremagic for posting your query.

I can very much understand your concern . But there is no need to avoid your newborn grandchild .

Make sure you don't cough or sneeze infront of your grandchild and make sure you wash your hands before you handle your grandchild.

Hope this information was useful to you.
Any clarifications feel free to ask .

Regards.
