Brief Answer:
He should take regular anti-TB drugs.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your brother's medical details. TB meningitis is a fully treatable disease. However, at least 18 months of regular anti-TB medications are required.

He should continue the medications on a regular basis.

In most cases, people recover completely without any permanent damage. However, in some people, problems with memory, hearing, vision, strength of arms/legs may occur. These can be evaluated by a neurologist.

He should look for any side effects with anti-TB medications, mainly liver-related. Blood tests such as liver function tests (LFT) would help.

Normal diet may be taken.

I hope my reply has helped you.

I would be pleased to answer, if you have any follow up queries or if you require any further information.
