Brief Answer:
I would suggest a proper evaluation.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Thanks for sharing your health concern with us. I have gone through your query and would like to offer few suggestions.

Since your wife is breast feeding, it is ideal to assess any problem systematically. I would suggest a proper evaluation.

Pain is related to the intake of food, and so is more likely to be due to gastro-intestinal disturbances. It can be gastritis, bowel infection etc.

If she did not get her menstrual cycle so far after delivery, this could be a premenstrual symptom.

Avoid spicy, oily and fried foods. Allow bland diet until symptoms subside. Cold milk helps to decrease heartburn. Enzymes may be needed if there is associated indigestion.

Medication to suppress acid secretion, if needed, is preferably given after a feed.

Hope your query has been clarified. Please feel free to contact for further information. I will be happy to help.

Regards.

Brief Answer:
Medication is preferably taken after the feed.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Thanks for writing back.

Any medication is preferably taken after the feed. She can take antacids, digestive enzymes, antispasmodic etc. after a clinical evaluation. If there is no contraception, please exclude a pregnancy.

Hope this helps.

Take care.
