How Could One Be Pregnant For Six Weeks After Menstruation 20 Days Back?

Question: Hi, Me and my wife just got to know that she is pregnant for 6 weeks now, although she still had her last period(20 days back). We visited a local doctor and that person is saying everything is alright and it's normal. Can you please guide us and what should be done. Thanks in advance for your guidance.
