Brief Answer: Most likely food related stomach infection Detailed Answer: Hi XXXX, Thanks for writing in to us. Your wife might be suffering from an acute stomach infection due to the intake of food you bought at the fair. Continuous diarrhea and vomiting may lead to severe dehydration which is a life threatening condition. This happens when there is loss of fluids from the body without proper fluid replacement. The headache can be due to the same reason. If she continues to be having diarrhea and vomiting then a visit to the ER is a must and she should be put on antibiotics. Vomiting of black bile can be due to acute gastritis. Please allow her to drink lots of fresh fruit juices and take little amounts of home cooked food which is not too spicy. If she starts vomiting or diarrhea then you may need to rush her to the hospital immediately. Wishing you and your wife good health. Hope your query is answered. Do write back if you have any doubts. Regards, Dr.Vivek
