Brief Answer: Yes but change after soiling Detailed Answer: Hi Thanks for writing to health care magic. Diaper rash is caused by chemical reaction between urine , feces and diaper material with skin. It's better not to use during day . Even during night use for as short period as possible. You can apply barrier ointments with zinc each time after your baby soils. This will prevent further increase in diaper rash. Keep the area clean . Use warm water to clean and avoid soaps. Use mild cleaning solutions like syndet. If the rash is fiery red with red spots or ulcers or may need local antibacterials like fusidic acid. Wishing your kid speedy recovery. Regards Dr Arun
