Twice or thrice washing is advisable during the periods.
3) Washing the area after urination with plain water.
4) After passing motion wash the anal area from front to back but not vice versa to prevent the spread of infection to genitals from anal region.
5) Urination and washing the area before and after the intercourse decrease the risk of genital infections.
6) Avoid soap with harsh chemicals as they might cause allergy.
7) Avoid intercourse during the periods.
All the above precautions should be followed daily and also during the periods.
Inside of vagina you need not clean as the ph in vagina is acidic, which normally prevents the growth of infective organisms.
