Question: Hi,dr yesterday i done my wife's sonography she is 34 weeks and baby's weight is 2300 gms...is it ok...and she is feeling pain at lower side of abdomenal....so what should i do for that....is there any problem...her pain is since her sixth month of pregnancy but it was less at that time...but now it is increased....

Hello sir, thanks for trusting me for your health concern.
Baby is growing at a desired pace as expected fetal weight is around 2.2 grams at 34 weeks so we are relieved in that sense.
As regards the lower abdominal pain she is having these are called as XXXXXXX XXXXXXX contractions and increase in intensity and duration with advancing gestation to eventually turn into labor pains at term gestation.
But in case she is feeling pain all the time or is not able to tolerate it then give tablet susten VT per vaginum 200 mg twice a day for 4 weeks. Discuss about this medication with your doctor.This is prescribed medication.
It is a progesterone and will relieve her pain and also support placental functions so will help in delivery of nutrition and oxygen to the baby.
