What Is The Dosage Of Rcinex And T Combutol For TB?

Question: I was advised to give sputum for TB Culture and its result showed mycobacterium species grown on culture. Doctor prescribed following medicines for 6 months.
- RCINEX 600/300
- T COMBUTOL 1200mg
- T Pyzina 1000mg
- BENADON

1. Is the prescribed medicines and its dosage are correct ?
2. How often should i take LFT
3. Will the complete cure happen with this course of treatment?
4. What are the possible side effects?
5. How will i know whether any organ in body affected with TB infection?

Hello

Thanks for the query

1. Please get back to me with the body weight in order to help you with the dosage
2. I recommend that you do a LFT once before starting the treatment and once after 15 days, then on once a month
3. Anti TB regimen will completely cure you unless it is a multi drug resistant Tb ( rarely )
4. Possible side effects are discolouration of urine, hepatitis, hearing defect, gastric discomfort, loss of appetite, peripheral nerve injury. However these side effects are rare and most patients do well with the treatment
5. If you are having issues with hearing or your eyes become yellow please approach your doctor immediately. Monthly follow ups are a must during the treatment
