Brief Answer:
Reduce the dose of Neomercazole.

Detailed Answer:
HI

Greetings from Dr.Divakara.P
Thanks for posting your query.

Well see since you are taking Tab Neomercazole , it is expected for the TSH to go high. ( In fact it is for that purpose only Neomercazole has been given ) . Now if you take Thyronorm it is exactly the opposite medication of Neomercazole and hence it will be illogical to take Thyronorm.

What you need to do is to reduce the dose of Neomercazole to 2.5mg and repeat Thyroid Profile after 2 months . Kindly revert back with reports.

Hope this information was useful to you.
Any clarifications feel free to ask.

Regards.

Brief Answer:
No need to take Thyronorm.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

No I don't think taking thyronorm is a right thing to do as long as you are on Neomercazole.

Just reduce the Neomercazole dose and repeat TSH test as advised before.

Regards.

I m 37yrs old. one year and a half thyroid cancer survivor. my cancer was papillary and had spread into some of my lymphnodes. i have no thyroid and no parathyroid function. I have woken up with my left neck swollen under my jaw, it was huge and extremely painful. when i eat it gets even bigger and hurts worse. it took a little over a week to go away, that was a few weeks ago. Now, yesterday morning I woke up and my right side is swollen and when i eat it hurst worse and gets bigger exactly how the left side did. Could this be my tonsil or something else? I do have my tonsils?? my throat does not look redder than normal or swollen. What could it be? Do i need to see a doctor? if so, will my general practioner be ok? I get scared after my cancer when anything weird happens... I did have my salivary ducts blocked and swollen after the Radioactive iodine treatment a year and a half ago and the swelling is not in the same area. That made me look like a chipmunk, this is my neck directly under my jaw line and it s huge especially after I eat!! thank you so much, kym
