Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Such symptom can indicate urinary tract infection or prostate enlargement. Moreover, prostate enlargement can cause recurring urinary tract infections. You may also have weaker urine stream, some blood in the urine, burning while urinating, lower abdominal pain.
I suggest you to have urine analysis at first. Please also check your PSA level and consult urologist. Transrectal ultrasound should be done to see prostate condition.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.

I have just been tested for urinary tract infection but it was negative. I had a prostrate test earlier this year and again negative. About a month ago I had a cystoscopy and the doctor said that the bladder was in good condition. The only problem was that I was not emptying my bladder completely. Since the cystoscopy I have had to urinate frequently and by the end of the day there is a burning sensation (similar symptoms as a urinary tract infection). Can it be a result of the cystoscopy - that there was an irritation caused and if so what can I do to make the symptoms go away.

Detailed Answer:
Yes, it can be related to cystoscopy. This test could cause an irritation and give such symptoms as well. Sometimes cystoscopy causes an infection, so it is good to have it ruled out.
But it is a month after a cystoscopy, so any irritation should be gone.
If you urine analysis were negative, you should have urine culture done. If this will be also negative, please consult urologist once again.

Regards.
