Venous eczema is treatable. You should see your doctor and make sure that that is the correct diagnosis if they have not already confirmed the diagnosis.
Steroid creams, like the betnavate cream you are using can help with the itching.
However, compression stockings can be more helpful because this kind of eczema comes from pressure from the veins.
Your doctor can prescribe compression stockings or you can just try wearing some heavy duty support hose.
A combination of the support stockings and steroid cream are helpful in most cases. If you are not getting relief you may need to see a dermatologist
