Brief Answer:

Treatment depends upon severity of symptoms.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Baaed on the facts that you have posted your wife has been detected to have a stone of a size of 6 mm at PJU junction

The treatment modality of stone at PUJ depends upon severity of symptoms.

If she has severe pain and vomting ith fever she will need to undergo endoscopic fragmentation of a stone by a procedure called URS.

However if the pain is moderate and tolerable you can certailanly wait and expect it to pass out spontaneously.

Take following medications:

1) Narflix ,Nidra and Drotin twice daily
2) Tab Tomsulosin once daily
3) Enaure she drinks more water

There in no proven role of diet to prevent stone recurrence unless you know composition of stone done by stone analysis’s after you pass the stone

Take more water , reduce salt intake ,milk products,

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
