Brief Answer:
Number of heart beats when exercising....

Detailed Answer:

Heart rate is showing the number of heart beats per minute.

Acceleration heart rate (AHR) is showing the number of heat beats when exercising. Perhaps your friend has done stress test which came out with low AHR.

Your friend's AHR is low, that means:
- he/she is athletic
- he/she is having heart problems that need further evaluation (e.g. heart failure or arrhythmia)

Hope it answered to your queries! Wish a healthy life as you are enjoying now!
