Formation of blood clots in the the blood vessels (deep veins) of legs obstructing blood flow into the heart is called deep vein thrombosis (DVT). Usually, this is caused by prolonged sitting or standing and may due some side effects of medications. This can be diagnosed with investigations like Doppler Ultrasound.

Other risk conditions include increased risk of heart disease, osteoporosis (increased bone resorption), breast cancer, endometrial cancer etc. Kindly, take the advice of treating doctor also, whether the benefits outweigh risks.

Hope it helps!
