Brief Answer:
Small vessels disease=arteriolosclerosis...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Chronic microvascular disease is a general term referring to affection (disease of small vessels).

Please bare in mind that our body's circulatory system is compound of :
- large and
- small

blood vessels.

Microvascular disease (arteriolosclerosis) is affecting the small blood vessels of our body, causing their narrowing. Such narrowing won't let the blood flow properly, resulting in body's organs suffering depending on the site affected.

There are many factors causing arteriolosclerosis including: high uric acid levels, metabolic syndrome, diet, etc.

With regards to treatment, further clinical evaluation is needed to determine the risk factors. Blockage to renin-angiotensin-system has been shown an efficacy treatment.

However, treatment will be specific depending on possible causes.

Hope it answered to your queries!
