Brief Answer:
Difference lies in the Neurotransmitter they block.

Detailed Answer:
HI

SSRI stands for Selective Serotonin reuptake Inhibitor. See Norepinephrine and Serotonin are neuro transmitters which carry signals of brain through nerves . The medicines SNRI or SSRI block Norepinephrine or Serotonin selectively respectively from re entering the nerves and thus reduces the effect of these neurotransmitters. ( But SNRI's block both Norepinephrine and Serotonin actually )

Now by blocking Epinephrine gives one kind of result while blocking Serotonin gives slightly different results, though both are given to treat Depression.

Among the two , it is said that patients who have depression with low energy are benefitted more with SNRI while SSRI's doesn't give this effect more . Also SSRI's are helpful in persons with depression and pre mature ejaculation but not SNRI's.

Common SSRI's are : Fluoxetine, Sertraline,

Common SNRI's are : Venlafaxine, Desvenlafaxine, Duloxetine.

Hope this information was useful to you.
Any clarifications feel free to ask.

Regards.
