Brief Answer:
drug induced tinnitus

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for your query. In my opinion, as per the history given, I feel ringing sound in the ear called tinnitus is because of the drugs used during or after the cataract surgery which are ototoxic. This can damage the hearing nerve or reduce the blood supply to the nerve and cause tinnitus.Preferably ototoxic drugs like gentamycin inj , other antibiotics might have caused this. If I were your treating doctor, I would have advised for tympanometry test to know the damage and would advice multivitamin supplement containing ginkobiloba extract tablet for 3 months. Hope my answers have helped you. Thank you.
