Brief Answer:
urine culture is most important.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist,i assure you, UTI is confirmed on urine culture, not routine test.
Your culture report will show the bacteria causing infection, and drug most sensitive to treat it. Accordingly, if needed, a course of antibiotic will be advised.
Epithelial cells are just skin cells seen in the sample.
Pus cells are suggestive of an infection.
Your ultrasound scan of abdomen will show, if there's any kidney involvement.
Your creatinine and sugar must also be done.
Drink 8-10 glasses liquids daily and complete the course of treatment as advised.
You will recover completely after that.
Hope your doubts are cleared.

Thanx for the reply doctor.Creatinine and sugar is NIL and all others are in given normal range according to the urine test. My Urine culture report reads as :Organism isolated". Culture at the end of 48hrs yield no growth!!!
Except for the pus cells at 4-6hpf,epithelial cells 6-8 and rbc 1-2hpf,all other readings are normal.
So, does that mean its just the UTI??

Brief Answer:
No active urinary infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hi again.
As your urine culture is negative, you don't have active urinary infection.
Repeat the urine routine test in a weeks time.
Drink 8-10 glasses liquids daily.
Wish you good health.

Hello Doctor.
Good morning. I have completed one course of medication to treat UTI and i have not seen reoccuring yet but why does my urine still appears bright green? I am bulking on fluids but still i see that my urine colour is still faint green. What can be the reason? Do i need to restart the course or does it mean that the UTI has not completely cured? Or is it an indication that the UTI may reoccur?

Brief Answer:
Maintain good fluid intake.

Detailed Answer:
Hi again.
If you've taken a course of antibiotic for a week, it should not recur.
To confirm your doubts of residual infection, repeat urine routine and culture.
It'll also clear the doubt of your greenish tinge to urine.
Drink about 10 glasses liquids daily.
Wish you well.
