This simply means that there was a blunt injury and the scar is evident as echogenetic change in subcutaneous fat layer, which is normal to have and need not be worried about.

Brief Answer:
usg for sciatic and common peroneal nerve is normal

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the follow up.
The ultrasound shows that the course of the sciatic nerve till the popliteal fossa and its branching into tibila nerve and common peroneal nerve can be easily seen and is free from any injury. The course beyond the popliteal fossa is difficult to trace as tibial nerve branches medially and covered by medial head of gastrocnemius muscle and the common peroneal nerve branches into sural nerve ad other cutaneous branches laterally which are difficult to trace even with a 3D ultrasound as they innervate the muscle and disappear in the body of the leg muscles.
So there is no need to be worried as all is normal from the nervous system point of view.
Regards
